In the front part of the jaw, our surgeon installs four implants that are connected and fixed with a special titanium bar. After the process of osseointegration, that is the fusion of the implant with the bone, after 3-6 months, the prosthetic work of 12 teeth is fixed onto the bar with special clamps, which completely functionally and aesthetically replace the natural teeth. The teeth on the bar stand very firmly and there is no fear of them moving or falling out. Furthermore, the prosthesis is easily removed due to hygiene and the work itself is financially more affordable than a fixed prostheses.

Only two visits to Dubrovnik are required for the whole Implant prosthesis with a bar treatment.

First visit

In the first visit after detailed examination of the patient's , the remaining teeth, if any, are removed and dental implants are installed.

On the second day the patient comes for checkup.

The third and the fourth days are free.

On the fifth day the patient arrives for stitches removal and to try out temporary mobile acrylic prosthesis.

Between these two phases there is a period of biooseointegration. This is the period necessary for the implants to grow together with your jawbone into which they are implanted. This lasts from two to five months, and depends on the structure of the jawbone, which part of the jaw is involved and whether any augmentation with artificial bone, sinus lift, etc. has been performed.

Second Visit

Second phase is called the prosthetic phase.

On the first day, before any dental procedures are done, a scan is taken for final prosthesis. On the same day implants are opened and former gingiva is placed. Former gingiva is a special screw that serves to shape gums for placing the bar. For each patient bar is made individually in our laboratory.

The second and the third day are free.

On the fourth day the patient comes for the final rehearsal and the prosthesis is placed on a crossbar.

Should there be any complication related to the material or implant procedure, the Dental Center Župa will bear the costs of flights, accommodation and repair work. The patient is obliged to maintain hygiene and act in accordance with the accompanying medical documentation and the doctor's recommendations. Should this not be followed, warranties will be invalid. The Župa Dental Center and its doctors are not responsible for the general health of the patient.
